OUTDOOR PUBS SPRING 2021 – WINDSOR & ETON

The Best Places to Drink Outdoors – Windsor & Eton Edition

Whether it’s a quick drink after work, catching up with old friends or a special occasion, knowing the best pubs to visit in Spring 2021 is a must. We have cultivated a list of local pubs that we love and think you will too. Remember to support local!

1. The George Inn – Eton

Just over Windsor and Eton bridge is Windsor and Eton Brewery’s flagship pub, The George Inn. The seating here is fantastic, with a number of different outdoor options and heaters to keep you warm in the cold weather. The menu offers up many gastro-pub classics, including fish and chips or baguettes if you fancy a lighter bite.

      2. The Corner Ale & Cider House – Windsor

Standing tall on the corner of Sheet and Victoria Street this is one of our go-to places. The two-story building has plenty of indoor seating as well as benches and heaters outside. The Corner House (as we locals call it) is home to a killer seasonal menu with house smoked meats (we recommend the ribs) as well as vegi/vegan options. Drinks-wise they offer over 60 types of gin (which staff are happy to help you with), 10 ale pumps, 5 hand pulled ciders, 10 keg lines. As for sports, matches are projected onto screens making viewing easy for all. There is so much to love about The Corner House!

   3. The Windsor Castle – Windsor

Situated just a stone’s throw from The Long Walk, The Windsor Castle Pub is the perfect place to pop in after enjoying a stroll down the aptly named “Long Walk”. Their new glass conservatory means you can sit ‘outside’ all year round without feeling the cold. They also have a number of benches and stools outside and of course classic indoor pub seating.

4. The Alma – Windsor

Boasting Windsor’s biggest beer garden The Alma is a locals favourite, with a crowd made up of all ages. They serve some mouth-watering dishes which are perfect for a spring afternoon and there is a Quiz every Thursday evening. The garden is host to many benches and tables meaning there is always ample space at The Alma.

     5. Henry VI – Eton

Located over Windsor and Eton Bridge in Eton, The Henry VI has a lot to offer including hand-stretched sourdough pizza and plenty of spacious outdoor seating. Sunday Night is Smartphone Quiz Night with Pizza and Pint for £10!
