GENERAL
-
Our tours are circular. The pick-up and drop off point is located at the bottom of Thames Street, opposite The Theatre Royal. The exact address to punch into your smartphone is 33 Thames Street, Windsor, Berkshire, SL1PR. Upon arrival look out for our famous Duck Stop!
-
Windsor’s fantastic public transport connections and expensive limited parking… We recommend getting the train or bus if possible! Check out how to get to us here.
-
We are able to take collapsable buggies on board the vehicle and we do everything we can to take the larger pushchairs. However, there is always a chance that lots of customers will all turn up for the same tour with lots of pushchairs – so we cannot guarantee this service…
-
Everyone! Over the years we have had old and young alike beaming from start to end. For the youngsters, climbing aboard the giant yellow duck is quite the adventure, and adults are entertained by our witty, knowledgeable guides. Not to forget, our exciting SPLASHDOWN is enjoyed by everyone!
-
Due to the nature of the vehicle all passengers must be able to climb the 5 steps to board.
-
Carer tickets are available free of charge. Please give us a call on 01753 581158 and we will process your booking over the phone.
-
Very well-behaved dogs can come on our tours at the discretion of the skipper.
-
If you miss your tour we will try, but NOT guarantee to get you on the last tour we are running that day. Tickets for the tour are non-refundable and may only be changed 48-hours prior to your departure.
-
All of our tours have a live guide to ensure the tour is fun and informative! Listen carefully for some interesting facts about Windsor and the sights (we reserve the right to make up answers to anything we don’t know about!).
-
We do not allow food on board. Non-alcoholic drinks are allowed.

VEHICLES AND SAFETY
-
In short yes. Very. We use purpose built vehicles circa 2010 NOT 1940’s WW2 vehicles that you may have seen in the media. Please see our safety page for more information.
-
All our vehicles have to meet the (MCA) Maritime and Coast Guard Regulations when on the water and have a passenger certificate. On the road, they are governed by VOSA, just like a Bus.
-
On the road, our driver/skipper needs a Bus/Coach license Cat- D. On the water our skipper needs a Boatman’s License issued by the MCA. This license involves a high degree of skill to pass and includes a 3-day Fire Fighting Course, First Aid, Sea Survival, and Medical.
WEATHER
-
Dress for the weather conditions for the day and you can’t go far wrong. It can be cooler on the water section of the tour so a jumper is a good idea if you feel the cold. As always, layers are always a safe bet!
-
Short answer… no. Our entry into the water does not cause any water to enter the vessel. Furthermore, we have roll down windows which we will try to keep open as much as possible. If the rain does start to come down we take a majority vote from our passengers on having the side windows rolled up or down.
-
It is extremely unlikely tours will be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. On rare occasions when the river goes into flood we stop running due to the high flow of the river, and will contact any customers effected.
